27 Acre Park - Planned/Future

Background

The 27-Acre Park is a proposed City park located northeast of La Estrella Street and Wildomar Trail. The Park is included in the City's Parks Master Plan. The City is currently preparing design plans and is seeking grant funding for the construction of Phase 1 of the Park. The Park includes various proposed amenities including bike trails and courses, a splash pad, volleyball court, adventure/nature play areas, a demonstration garden, a community green, a picnic pavilion, a potential community building, an outdoor amphitheater, an outdoor fitness plaza or fitness stations, educational signage, shade structures/sails, trails, and a hill-top play area. Improvements associated with the park include parking lots, utilities, stormwater improvements, and street improvements.

In order to open the Park for public use, the City phased the Park so that it could be constructed and opened for public use as funding becomes available. Phase 1 of the Park includes some of the proposed amenities including parking lots, bike trails and courses, trails, and the hill-top play area. Phase 1 of the Park will complete initial grading of the site and complete initial utility improvements, initial stormwater improvements, and initial street improvements.

In 2017, the City of Wildomar entered into a contract with RRM Design Group (RRM) for Landscape Architecture services related to the City’s Parks Master Plan, including the 27-Acre Park (Agreement). Subsequent contract amendments were approved to include design services for Phase 1 of the 27-Acre Park.
