November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election
The City of Wildomar will hold a Consolidated General Municipal Election on November 5, 2024, to elect one City Council Member from District 2 for a full four-year term and one City Council Member from District 4 for a full four-year term. Candidates are nominated by and voted upon by the registered voters within their district.
As of the close of the nomination period, there are not more candidates than offices to be elected for City Council Member in District 2. City Clerk Certification. Pursuant to § 10229 of the Elections Code, since there were not more candidates than offices to be elected in District 2, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2024-55, appointing Dustin Nigg to the office of Council Member in District 2, serving a 4-year term as if he were elected, and canceling the election in District 2.
ONLY REGISTERED VOTERS IN DISTRICT 4 WILL HAVE A CITY COUNCIL CONTEST FOR COUNCILMEMBER ON THEIR BALLOT

You can drop your ballot off at any USPS box; no postage is needed. It must be postmarked by November 5, 2024, and received by November 12, 2024.

The nomination period for the November 5, 2024, election was July 15, 2024 - August 9, 2024. The deadline to submit nomination papers was August 9, 2024 at 5 p.m. Candidate Handbook
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be a Citizen of the United States.
- Must live in, and be a registered voter in, the district in which he or she seeks election at the time nomination papers are issued, pursuant to California Government Code Section 34882 and Elections Code Section 10227. Termination of residency in a district by a Councilmember shall create an immediate vacancy for that Council district unless a substitute residence within the district is established within 30 days after the termination of residency.
The City does not charge any fees for pulling papers; however, candidates who choose to have their "Candidate Statement of Qualifications" printed in the sample ballot or posted in the electronic sample ballot, issued by the County Registrar of Voters (ROV), must pay the actual cost set by the ROV. Candidates who opt for this are required to submit a deposit to the City of Wildomar at the time of submittal. Once the City receives the final bill after the election, the Candidates will be required to make final payment, if anything is outstanding, or if there are funds remaining from the deposit, the City will issue a refund for the difference.

City of Wildomar Municipal Code Chapter 17.254
- "Election Period " means the period of time 90 days prior to and 10 days after any local, state, regional or national official election.
- No sign shall exceed 32 square feet in surface area.
- No sign shall exceed six feet in height.
- No lot shall contain such signs having an aggregate surface area in excess of 80 square feet.
- Such signs shall be permitted along road right-of-way provided no sign shall be erected, placed, used or maintained on any publicly owned tree or shrub or upon the improved portion of any street or highway right-of-way used for traffic or parking or upon any street divider or median strip.
- All signs shall be removed within 10 days after the election has occurred.
